It's a very well known fact that the Dreadspawn Maw represents Vagina Dentata (toothed vagina)

I mean, look at it. In addition, and just adding to the obvious suggestion, the giant claws spawn many smaller black ones (pubic hair) when you kill them. If this wasn't "DUH OBVIOUS", you need to get a better sex education in your school system or something...

My wife encountered Maw for the first time a couple weeks ago, and come to the same conclusion. She also pointed out that the nasty thing apparently has crabs, too.
